Tech Ops Engineer

EasyMarkit is growing and we’re looking for an inquisitive problem-solver to join our team. This role will be a part of our Technical Operations (Development) Team, where you will be working alongside talented developers, designers, and tech ops engineers to execute systematic solutions on a daily basis and proactively design creative solutions.

This is a full-time position in our Chinatown, Vancouver HQ, walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants, and public transit. On-site bicycle parking and a one zone TransLink Compass pass are provided as an added benefit!

What You’ll Do

  • You will collaborate with the support team to resolve complex client issues
  • You will use your ingenuity and analytical skills to brainstorm and execute technical solutions and improvements to our existing product
  • You will work strategically and proactively to address and solve complex issues
  • You will evaluate recurring problems and work directly with the Tech Ops Team Lead to implement long term solutions/prevention methods
  • You will work directly with the Tech Ops Team Lead to advance your learning and knowledge

Who You Are

  • You are educated and/or experienced in technical web application support
  • You are eager to learn new technologies and can easily grasp new systems
  • You are a creative thinker, committed to solutions, and have strong communication skills
  • You love problem solving and getting to the root of an issue
  • You are proactive and take initiative to solve problems before they arise
  • You are used to working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
  • You have a passion for technology, and you are willing to learn and try new things

Bonus if

  • You have experience with mySQL
  • You have experience with database investigation
